Overview
Liliah's marks help her bend mortals to her will quickly and simply, but sometimes she wants another kind of servant. Liliah can taint a mortal girl over an extended period of time to completely reshape her body, mind and soul. This girl obtains a sexier body and some magical powers in exchange for eternal damnation and subservient attachment to Liliah. It's an objectively defavorable exchange, but Liliah generally doesn't give her target the choice, and the target ends up perceiving it as a net benefit.
Effects of the taint
After Liliah carefully selects a female mortal, she approaches her under disguise and begins to flow her magical energy in and around the target. This is a long and subtle process over several weeks, during which the target's body is transformed to Liliah's specifications, her mind is progressively shaped by Liliah's will, and a demonic contract is imposed on her soul, determining her role in the afterlife as a minor demon under Liliah's complete ownership.
The effects on the target's body are gradual augmentation of feminine traits and elimination of flaws, from the small, unnoticeable things all the way to major, identity-altering modifications. After a certain point (called the setting point, after which the taint is said to have set), the body reshaping is complete and the internal changes are well underway, so the body begins manifesting demonic traits that are a sign of Liliah's taint. When those signs appear, it is usually too late to turn back without the intervention of a being more magically powerful than Liliah.
As far as the mind is concerned, the effect is equivalent to almost every drain mark Liliah can apply appearing in the target's body gradually and all at the same time. Depending on the type of taint Liliah applies, those effects usually include the highest degree of addiction, obedience and sensitivity; Liliah's complete control over the target's body; and significant mutation and branding. Succubic taint can also include bestowed powers such as draining energy to give most of it to Liliah.
Types of taint
Depending on what Liliah is looking for or existing attributes in the girls she finds, Liliah may wish for them to serve as toys sexually addicted to the point of it damaging their intellect, as powerful and loyal servants serving to exponentially increase her reserves of magical energy, or a more subtle beacon destined to continue living the rest of their lives relatively normally for the purpose of extending Liliah's awareness, influence and presence in the realm of mortals. Those three types of taints could be called Thralls, Puppets and Avatars, respectively. Here is a short summary of the differences between those three types of taint:
Thralls
: Emphasis on hypersexualized body, mind almost completely burned out by overwhelming sexual stimulation and cravings. Thralls are often left permanently weakened and are destined for a role of helping to round up orgies or keep men on the edge for Liliah.Puppets
: Body design varies depending on the kind of task Liliah plans to give them. They can be physically strong and agile to help in combat, quick and tireless to gather materials, or sexually heightened to gather energy for Liliah or assist more directly in orgies or Liliah's personal missions.Avatars
: Avatars are made to almost blend in with mortals. The changes to their bodies are subtle and never so drastic that they are difficult to explain or make the target unrecognizeable. Brands are also subtle, for example a slightly sweet natural scent to their bodies or a scar on a hidden part of their body. Their purpose is to let Liliah see or sometimes act through them, or just covertly spread Liliah's influence around them.
The types above are simply archetypical examples of the use Liliah might make of a corrupted mortal, and in general the taint is a completely customizable combination of physical transformations, mental alterations and then magical enchantments to fit what Liliah perceives as a particular target's potential.
It should also be noted that, while it takes even more effort on Liliah's part, a male can also be tainted, but he will become female in the process, as Liliah's magic can only spawn demons of her own gender.
